Globe copy editor 1980-85. Left after being glucked once too often. Took an offer with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 7 office in Kansas City, Kan. Region 7 includes Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Now Region 7 senior press officer. Live with wife, Gayle, in Blue Springs, Mo. Two kids: son with a degree in law enforcement who works as a district supervisor for Bed, Bath & Beyond, daughter with a degree in studio art who is a veterinary hospital director. Go figure.
