About me

I was fresh out of the University of Illinois when I started at the Globe-Democrat as a copy editor in 1974. In 1977, I was promoted to picture editor, a job I held until January 1984, when I left with my severance pay from Newhouse. I went to the Houston Post then, and stayed there as a copy editor and layout editor until 1995, when I left for an editorial job at the new Web site of the Houston Chronicle. There, I developed the entertainment site and other special Web pages. Now I'm a technical writer at Landmark Graphics in Houston. I'm also a playwright, with my first plays produced in the Edward Albee New Plays Workshop in Houston in 1993. Last year, my play The Dog was produced at the Perishable Theatre in Providence, R.I.
