Locked down
I've removed the login/registration box from the front page. This website was created in 2002 as a "remember the Globe-Democrat" resource, primarily for former Globe-Democrat staffers who now are scattered around the world. I'm hosting a collection of photos from a Globe-Democrat staff reunion.
Lately I've had a rush of registrations from people who I suspect are confused about this site versus the recently launched Globe-Democrat.com website, which uses the name of the old Globe newspaper but has no actual connection to the newspaper that was shut down in 1985, briefly revived, and shut down again in 1986.
If you're looking to engage in a conversation about St. Louis, you probably should go to Dan Rositano's website and not here.
If I get time to upgrade this site, I may install Facebook Connect or something similar that lets people comment and keeps spammers out. I really don't have time to deal with the spam morons who attempt to post junk here. (You have no idea how bad it is until you try to run a site.)
