My father was a firefighter and he died in May of 1967. My son is pursuing a career in firefighting and was interested in my father's history as a firefighter. He worked in the Community Fire Dept on Lackland Rd in Overland. My mother has passed away and I do not have much info or pictures, etc. I read that the Globe did an article in 1964 on the new diesel powered fire apparatus the dept received.
